BHFF is a true celebration of cinema and the mavericks who do what it takes to get their vision to the screen. The festival takes over the mountain town of Hill City, Rapid City, and other Black Hills Communities to line up world-class films, receptions and powerful workshops. You, the filmmakers, are the stars of the Black Hills Film Festival. Screenings across the five days of the BHFF are solidly attended by an engaged community of artists and cinephiles and along with great receptions and mixers; award winners go home with custom bronze trophies (the coveted “Bronze Fedora") and stories to last a lifetime.
